About the organisation

Bally Chorus was founded in the year 2014 with the mission to provide long-term care for the children from the street and slum - the most vulnerable children who dare to dream to touch the sky but are not even privileged to get basic needs for life. Today Chorus is amongst few trusted grass root NGOs of Kolkata, West Bengal, committed to improve the lives of such underprivileged people of society to ensure education, health and dignity to transform them into responsible citizen.
Bally Chorus have clear insight in the socio-economic and health issues faced by the downtrodden, underprivileged and marginalized segments of the communities. We currently have about 76 children of Dakshineswar area in the age group of 3-14 and they are in our complete custody and care. We are committed to impact their lives 24x7,365 days. In addition, we run an education centre and provide health support with free medicines including nutrition to them so that they will not be exploited by the outer force of negativism. Bally Chorus believes that all human beings are equal and has the right to have proper wellbeing of living. We have touched new heights by regular activities to fulfill the mission of the organization for the street and also slum children of Dakshineswar ,Kolkata.
Our Vision and Mission

CHORUS is the voice of children who are deprived of basic rights of Survival, Protection, Development and Participation. For wholesome community development, it is important that child protection is considered to be a vital part of the mission of the organization. Our mission is to provide a platform for the holistic development of children. This can be done if all the areas of development are altered progressively ensuring child friendly environment with child right and protection being the central focus. From slum development for better living conditions, to education hygiene and environmental protection, CHORUS’s Comprehensive Community Development Programme encompasses all these areas that are vital in order to reach our goal of 'inclusive betterment of society'
